Search Terms
When you type a name, location, or similar detail into a search box powered by a third-party provider, that provider receives the query so it can process the search. This site does not keep its own separate log of those search terms.
Messages
If you email us or send a contact message, we use the information you provide to read and answer that message. We do not share contact messages outside our organization unless a valid legal requirement applies.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, technical data may be recorded when pages load or tools are used.

This site links to WVDCR jail and DOC locators, West Virginia court resources, VINELink, BOP, ICE, sheriff or government pages, and private search tools. After you leave this site, the privacy policy and terms of the destination site control your use there.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize visits across websites and show interest-based ads. That tracking is handled by those partners, not by a Mingo County government office.

We do not sell personal contact messages. Information may be made available to these categories of recipients when needed for site operations or legal compliance.

West Virginia FOIA, including W. Va. Code section 29B-1-3 and section 29B-1-4, governs requests made to public offices. It does not turn this private website into a public-records custodian for WVDCR, sheriff, jail, or court files.
Security
We use ordinary security practices suited to a public information website. No internet-connected service can be guaranteed against every intrusion, outage, interception, or data loss.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and a parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion if a minor submitted information.

- Request correction of inaccurate contact information.
- Ask that personal information be deleted where deletion is legally and technically available.
